Nail Surgery For INGROWN TOENAILS
Surgical procedure to treat troublesome nails
If you have problematic, painful ingrowing toenails caused by poor nail cutting, ill-fitting shoes or the natural shape of your nail, we have a permanent and effective solution.
The podiatrist administers a local anaesthetic and the offending nail or section of nail is removed. A chemical called phenol is applied to stop the cells that produce the nail from regrowing. This is a permanent procedure.
We do a pre-surgery assessment to ensure conservative treatment would not solve your problem, and that you are suitable for local anaesthetic and nail surgery.
If surgery is agreed, we will arrange a later, mutually acceptable appointment. You will be given full aftercare advice and a dressing pack. The cost of the nail surgery includes two follow-up appointments to ensure your surgery is healing well.
